Gwen Justice supreme again

B Grade winner Mary Campbell, Women's Champion Gwen Justice and C Grade winner Ruth Duffy

Trentham Golf Club completed its Womens Championships on Wednesday 25th June.  This year the format was two stroke rounds, with the semi-final and finals being match play.

The final for the Club Championship was played between Gwen Justice and Elaine Hanson, with Gwen defeating Elaine 5 and 3. This is the 23rd time that Gwen has won the championship; not even shoulder surgery (which kept her out of the game for seven months) prevented her from winning. Congratulations to Gwen on a wonderful achievement.

The B Grade final between Womens Captain Mary Campbell and Veronica Maher was won by Mary 4 and 3.

Ruth Duffy was victorious in the C Grade final, winning 5 and 3 over Lynne O'Neill.  Lynne is a new member and has proven to be a very competitive golfer.
