The 8th Macedon Ranges Jazz and Heritage Festival is on again in Kyneton from October 10th-12th October 2008. Building on the success of previous festivals, the weekend promises to provide three full-on days of top bands and classic jazz. As well as ticketed performances, there will be a range of free public performances, some of them outdoors.
Kyneton is an easy hour from Melbourne by train or car.

If you enjoy stepping out, the popular Jazz Cabaret at the Kyneton Town Hall enables locals and visitors to put on their finery and enjoy music, dancing and great local food and wines.
An exciting new opportunity for budding musicians, the Youth Jazz workshops will be launched during the Festival. A free 3-hour jazz workshop on Sunday 12th October, held at Kyneton Secondary College, is open to musicians under the age of 25 who are interested in learning to play jazz.
Free public performances will again be a feature of the Macedon Ranges Jazz and Heritage Festival, enabling local people of all ages to sample classic jazz and decide whether they want to take it or leave it. A special free concert will once again be held in the Mechanics Reserve in Kyneton on Friday from 1.00 to 4.00 pm.
